Invokers: Titan Legacy Boss Fight Tutorial: Dodging, Timing and Team Swaps

BOSS FIGHT TIPS
By Sarah Jenkins • 6 min read

What sets Invokers: Titan Legacy apart from many collection RPGs is that combat happens in real time. You can dodge, aim and trigger skills yourself, which means bosses are tests of both team strength and player skill. This tutorial teaches a repeatable method for beating a boss you are struggling with.

Why Manual Play Matters

Auto mode is convenient and works well for regular stages. Bosses, however, usually have patterns: telegraphed strikes, area attacks, summoned enemies and phase changes. A team on auto can wander into those attacks. A player who reacts can avoid them.

Use auto for farming and manual for progression.

Step 1: Scout the Fight

On your first attempt, treat the fight as research.

  • Note which attacks have visible warnings and how long they take.
  • Look for phase changes. Do they happen at certain health thresholds?
  • Identify when the boss is vulnerable, such as after a big attack.
  • Watch for summoned enemies that need to be cleared.

You may lose that first attempt, and that is fine. Information is valuable.

Step 2: Learn the Telegraphs

Most boss attacks follow a pattern:

Attack typeTypical signBest response
Line or coneHighlighted area on the groundSidestep out of the zone
Area blastCircle growing around a pointMove outside the circle
ChargeBoss pauses then rushesDodge sideways at the last moment
SummonNew enemies appearDecide whether to clear or ignore

Practise the dodge timing. Dodging too early can let the attack track you; dodging too late means you take the hit.

Step 3: Time Your Skills

Skills have cooldowns, so use them with a plan.

  1. Open with buffs or setup skills.
  2. Save your strongest damage skills for windows when the boss is exposed.
  3. Use crowd-control skills on summoned enemies, not the boss, unless the boss can be controlled.
  4. Keep an escape or defensive skill ready for dangerous phases.

Avoid using everything at the start and then waiting through the rest of the fight.

Step 4: Use Titan Transformations Wisely

Titans can grant powerful transformations for Invokers.

  • Trigger them when they give the most value, such as the damage window or a dangerous phase.
  • Do not waste the transformation on trash enemies.
  • If a transformation provides survivability, use it as a safety net for big attacks.

Step 5: Position the Team

Even in an action RPG, positioning matters.

  • Keep ranged characters at a distance where they can attack without being hit.
  • Position your tank near the boss to draw attention.
  • Avoid clustering; area attacks hit grouped targets harder.

Step 6: Adjust When It Stalls

If you cannot win after several attempts, change something. Do not repeat the same failed approach.

Diagnose the Problem

  • Dying quickly: you need more durability, healing or better dodging.
  • Running out of time: you need more damage or better skill timing.
  • Getting overwhelmed by adds: bring crowd control or area damage.

Possible Fixes

  1. Swap a damage dealer for a healer or tank if survival is the issue.
  2. Upgrade gear or relics on your main characters.
  3. Bring a character that suits the boss, for example one with area damage against summoned enemies.
  4. Check your skill order and cooldown usage.

Practice Routine

  • Spend one attempt on watching only.
  • Spend the next on dodging only, ignoring damage.
  • Then combine both.

Breaking the problem into pieces makes it easier to improve.

Common Mistakes

  • Using auto on dangerous bosses.
  • Spamming skills without regard for cooldown windows.
  • Standing in area attacks to keep dealing damage.
  • Ignoring summoned enemies.
  • Never swapping team members.

Checklist Before a Boss Attempt

  • Team healed and gear up to date.
  • Main skills off cooldown.
  • Titan transformation ready.
  • Plan for phases and adds.
  • A backup team if the first fails.

Conclusion

Boss fights in Invokers: Titan Legacy are puzzles of timing, positioning and preparation. Scout the fight, learn the telegraphs, use your skills and transformations purposefully, and adapt your team when needed. With practice, bosses that once stopped you will become routine.
